I recently saw an article written by someone that thought he had an expert opinion on the subject of Global Warming and tried to give it factual claim. I wrote the following response to this article:

Automaker Bailout? It is unfortunate that the big three auto companies have come to this especially since this problem has been inherited from their past generations. It was hard 20 or 30 years ago to for everyone to foresee how all this would unravel, but it is what it is. 40 years ago it took 4 times the employees and 4 times the space to generate the number of vehicles to satisfy North American consumer demands, but now competitors have moved in and built more modern factories with flexible manufacturing systems and reasonable labor costs. The Big three are trying to make adjustments as fast as they possibly can, but there are many difficult decisions that have to be made in order to resurrect these great companies. Throwing money at them will provide temporary life support, but it will not provide the transplant they desperately need.
History - Big production required big plants and big workforces; Today-flexible manufacturing and streamlined workforces determine sustainability. 5 years ago the bigger the vehicle the better was the rage, but since our national government cared more for environmentalist exaggerated views than our energy policy, Big vehicles went into the tank and the auto companies were left with the bill for their investment. During their hay day, the labor force was desperately needed to maintain sales and production. Now we are left with labor costs that are out of balance and not compatible with the market. I don’t believe that feeding more money into the “Big Three” will return leaner results. It would be more like feeding the obese supersized cheeseburgers and french-fries hoping they will loose weight. Since a diet won’t work, what they need is liposuction.
Politics - Most Democrats are pursuing the executives saying the executives need to start a diet by personally costing their companies less. Most Republicans want the liposuction buy going to the bankruptcy hospital. Who is right? Let me ask you. Would you want to work at a job that you are going to get a pay cut at especially if someone else is willing to pay you what you are worth? Who would take their place? People in low demand? People that are not worth very much because they don’t know what they are doing? I am not talking about those failures at AIG either, they are responsible for their actions over the last 10 years, the current bunch of auto execs have not been on the job more than 5 years and inherited a bunch of bad decisions from the past. What about removing costs that are dragging these companies down. Like unused real-estate, excessive labor costs & Legacy costs that they had to sign up for to keep their labor force in place? These are three costs that their competitors don’t have to deal with. If you remove these three costs, the American Automotive companies become an attractive investment again.
So when it comes to Automaker bailout, just say no, liposuction please.

Repower America?
Repower America?
Sounds like a good idea right? Please don't be fooled. This organization has bought into the fact that we humans are able to destroy the environment that God created for us. Global Warming only works out when variables are tweaked in the computer models of those with a political agenda. This is the greatest lie that the public has ever believed. Farmers Almanac has predicted 100 year warming and cooling trends for century's, recent studies over the last few years actually prove that the polar ice caps are expanding not contracting.
So why the lie? Consider that Al Gore and a few of his chronies stand to benefit in the Billions if not trillions of Dollars if this organization and others like it are successful. They have have set up trading companies for carbon credits. Carbon credits are what you pay when you produce the bi product of carbon dioxide and release it to the atmosphere. T Boone Pickens talked about a great transfer of wealth to the Arabs, which I am not in favor of either, but this transfer of wealth will dwarf what we give to Arab countries. This will transfer an abundance of wealth from our pocket to extreme liberal activists and destroy a huge part of our economy. RepowerAmerica.com may as well be DestroyAmerica.com. If you want your electric bill to increase exponentially over the next 10 years and put millions of people out of work, then this is the organization for you. One blast from a volcanic eruption produces more carbon that we could dream of producing in our measly little power plants and automobiles. How vein are we to believe we could destroy God's creation. If you want to believe in common sense and preserve what has made this country great then you need to be careful with this organization or any other green organization that is out there.
I am not for pollution. Acid Rain was a real affect of dirty smokestacks 40 years ago. The new plants produce a small fraction of the pollutants that once went out the smoke stack and recycle much of the byproducts that they have pulled out of the exhaust air, but what environmentalists want to do here is just wrong. Unfortunately our President Elect has said he has bought into this. Why? I have my suspicions and none of them preserve our way of life. I would suggest that you pray and call your congressmen as much as possible to keep this from becoming a reality.
If you want to wreck our countries economy, this is about the best way to do it. Everything we do uses energy, even the Internet uses a substantial amount of energy. If this plan is successful, energy prices will be too expensive to make automobiles, Electronics, Furniture, and the like. All this production will go overseas where more reasonable energy policy exists. What is scary is that I Googled this company an their is not one negative site. The deception continues. Don't be fooled.

Energy Crisis? Lets Think about this. Back in the 70's we ran into an energy crises. about half the population that uses energy today can barely remember this, but gasoline and electricity was cheap due to regulation but we did not have enough gasoline to go around. This was mainly due to an inefficient infrastructure that through improvement produced ample supplies of energy for a growing economy. Yes I said a "Growing Economy". Do we know what the opposite is of this? "Recession". So if a Growing economy needs energy to grow, what happens when we run out of extra energy? Yes "Recession!".
So what caused us to get into this situation with so many resources, skyrocketing energy sector profits and the best minds in the industry here in our Great Country? This may take a minute, but you will have to think hard, You will have to think deep, You will actually have to use your brain to think things to conclusion rather than use emotions and react on impulse. Stick with me and I will explain the death of our great nation the United States of America.
In the beginning, we had the best, brightest and innovative minds in all the world. More inventions that shrunk the world and expanded our knowledge exponentially over the last 100 years than in any time before. Is this because of government policy? Yes it is!! But not the kind that is being proposed in our congress today. Our original founders believed in each individual spirit, that if set free would be able to achieve their dreams. Do you know what? Many have. Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Alexander Graham Bell, The Wright Brothers, Nicoli Tesla just to name a few transformed this world within one century. just 100 years ago, world travel took months, now we have jets that can circle the world in half a day. The Internet allows us to communicate with anyone just about anywhere at any time at the speed of light, but why is our innovation going to stop? Why is our country going to become second rate like many other country's in the world rather than a global benevolent superpower? Because we are becoming a bad investment.
Worthless I say we are becoming, because of the very government that was created to set man free is now becoming a government filled with roadblocks to progress. I am not talking about the going back to the irresponsible industrialists of the past that dumped everything in the river, but the irresponsible environmentalists are no better. There are two sides to every story and the truth is usually in the middle. At this point, the "Global Warming" Religion is becoming more important than the people it is meant to protect. A few environmentalists have figured out how to make Gold out of Carbon the most available element on earth. But not through productivity, but through wastefulness. Yes I said that the "Global Warming" Movement is full of Waste, Completely and irresponsibly full of waste. The total disregard to human progress that this movement has recklessly advanced has reduced the food and energy supply about as fast as it was created. Our kids may end up in worse shape than we are because rationing of food and energy have become more realistic than ever before. It has already started with the rice shortages in Asia and Corn Shortages in Latin America. Why? Because Environmentalists wont let us use a completely worthless and available product found below the surface of the earth to fuel our economy, they would rather starve poeple to keep them from breathing carbon dioxide and create a terrible fuel out of the food they stole from the mouth to advance their selfish motive to turn carbon into Gold. And the very communications vehicles that American ingenuity created is not indoctrinating the masses to believe their lies.
Unless someone in our government wakes up soon and establishes sane energy policies, Other places in the world that have more balanced and responsible (or less responsible) energy policies (such as China) will take over as the best place for future investment. This process will take a few generations, but why should we bow to the Chinese when we created all of this? Why, because we are not thinking. Again like I said in the beginning all this requires us to think. Think beyond the hyperbola being spoke by short sighted media personalities. Realizing that if we don't change course to a more responsible one, that everything that our ancestors have given us will be wasted away with the wasteful "Global Warming" Movement. Vote for intelligence this fall, Vote for Conservatives that understand the reality of the situation, not the reality of the politics.

I have not been very faithful in blogging about my life but today was an exceptional day in my walk with God. For the past 6-7 weeks I have been involved in a bible study in the mornings before work using the Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren as a guide. For the past three days distractions have ruled my life and as a result I fell behind in my reading. I believe God was testing my perseverance because it could have been easy just to give up. My partner was keeping up just fine on his studies, but had a bad day today.
The Morning started out like any other and we had our discussion, I was almost caught up and we ended in prayer, but the day did not turn out quite so good for my partner. He had to give me a driving test later that day, but little did I know, God was testing both of us during that driving test. I think we both failed the test. I failed to say the right words of brotherly accountability and he went on a self deceptive rant that concerned people in the shop that don’t know much about our Bible Studies in the mornings. I know now that I failed my partner after he exposed the temptation that he is dealing with most that very morning.
Well now we come to Chapter 28 – It Takes Time – God is not constrained by time but he uses time to shape our lives. We need to recognize what takes time and when we should seize the moment rather than let it go. I love to coach, teach and supervise, but I am not a supervisor right now. My friend is. One lesson I have learned about coaching is that you must look for the little victories every day, not the whole enchilada at once. Too bad I didn’t express this correctly to my partner it could have saved the day. But now that I recognize a potential solution for our problem, my hope is that we will grow from this. I feel like there is still a moment to seize so I am excited and can’t wait until Monday Morning.
One great thing that I am learning through this process is that God although is always the answer, doesn’t insulate us from worldly sin. I have the same situation with my daughters swim team coach right now, recognizing that the devil doesn’t play favorites is exactly what I needed before we have a conference after her practice tonight. It is a humbling thought process, but it has tenderized my heart for the meeting.
God is Great and I can’t wait for his next lesson. Living on earth is certainly an exciting adventure.

OSU Hurt by Penolties
Frustrated OSU fans have got to be asking what happened last night when the top ranked Buckeyes went out and beat LSU in stats but lost on the score board. I know that OSU was not supposed to be there this year because their team was mostly made up with underclassmen, but they ran the table with one blemish and earned their spot, unlike LSU that needed the help of sports writers to leapfrog two other teams to get their opportunity in the rankings. I am not going to cry in my milk, but there was something very strange about all the personal fouls called last night.
Most of the personal fouls didn't get any replay coverage except the one that showed it wasn't a foul when a late hit on the sidelines was called. What I was able to see would hardly be called a personal foul in any other game during the season. Am I making excuses? No. LSU played their hearts out too, but the days leading up to the game and what is going to be said the until next bowl season is that the Big Ten cannot keep up with the SEC. But wait, SEC fans need to look back at this game and consider one thing. If the personal fouls were not called on Ohio State, would have LSU won the game? I say not. It was because of Personal fouls that they got two of their touchdowns which ended up being the game difference. Besides that, when the guys in the striped shirts start throwing flags because to linemen are talking trash in one direction, that disheartens a team.
Just like last season watching the Buckeyes Laughing on the sideline while getting trounced by Florida, something seams fishy. I don't believe LSU really beat Ohio State talent for talent. This game will go down with an Asterisk for me as one of the poorest and one sided officiated games I have seen for quite some time. I am not going to speculate why the officiating was the way that it was, but I will say sports writers are not eating very much crow this morning.
I don't think any kind of playoff system will work as long as the sports writers want to ordain a team to be National Champions. This is a sad day for college football and the NCAA, SEC, Big Ten and Big 12 should be looking at this game with scrutiny to make sure nothing improper went on. Unfortunately money and good intentions has taken over college football and they will just wait for us to forget this one too. I would like to go back to the days when each team could play their game without the threat of these media games.

Excitement Is In The Spirit
Well, It is Saturday Night and I have not written for the last four days because Life has been so busy and dynamic. I don't even know where to begin. I wanted to give my old employer enough time to consider me thoroughly without pushing them too much so I spent Wednesday Just cleaning up some things around the house. On Thursday, I sent an email to my old employer stating exactly how I felt about the situation and that I was firmly committed to working with them for as long as I can. I received a phone call about 30 minutes later with an offer. It seams that they could not wait to get me involved either as they were working very hard on getting things in place to bring me on all Day Wednesday. I accepted the offer and they asked that I not start until a week from Monday. Friday the called again with a customer problem, a customer they knew that I knew well and asked if I could start Next Wednesday. I accepted, but now what?
We have a house in Bluffton and now we need to move to Dayton. School starts next week and our kids are not going to want to change schools. We need to move fast. What are we going to do with our house in Bluffton? Where are we going to live in Dayton? First, we started leveraging our resources to come up with a solution for our Bluffton Property. We ended up finding a post on a local website for a couple searching for a home to rent in Bluffton. We contacted them and a day later we had an agreement that they will rent our property in less than 24 hours of knowing we would have to move to Dayton. We still had a line item in our mortgage to cover with our lender as we were not to sublease the property less than occupying it for 1 year and it has only been 2 months. I contacted the Bank and they had no problem keeping the loan the same and allowing us to proceed. Isn't this incredible? God is Great!
What about Dayton? We knew that we really liked the Oakwood area in Dayton. This mature upscale community provided all the amenities that can be enjoyed in the city while at the same time providing a small town atmosphere that you can trust your kids to hang out in. We searched high and low for an economically and logistic solution, but could not come up with one. Every house for Sale would push us to financial limits and the ones available for rent really did not accommodate what we wanted. We went to our hotel and started researching properties again and we found a property in Beavercreek about 15 minutes out of town that caught our eye. It is in a country setting and was something that did not fit the profile we set out for at all. We also discovered another rental property in Oakwood and wanted to check it out. We left to get supper and then did a drive by on the Oakwood property just to find out that it had already been taken. I was ready to throw in the towel and give up for the night and check out a new mall near by.
My wife thought different, She said that we need to check out Bellbrook because her parents thought that was a nice location. I had not considered it and thought it was a lost cause, but I decided to play along and we did so. A thought that crossed my head when I was driving to Bellbrook was I will not find our house until I find our Church. Bellbrook was a bust, but I decided to go look for the other house in Beavercreek. While we were driving around in the country, I turned and looked behind me out of the blue and between two wood areas, a Church caught my eye. First Baptist Church was the name and we drove through and saw that they had services at 9:30 and 11:00 and said that we should try this church in the middle of no where out. We then proceeded to look for the BeaverCreek property and traveled a good 5 miles finding it. After we found it, we drove a little further and found out that it was within a mile of the church that we saw. I immediately praised God for his Goodness. I won't get to see the house or even commit to renting it until tomorrow night, but I saw God's hand working here. I am not going to doubt him one bit, I am going to go to the church we found in the morning and then wait for the call from the landlord of the house near by it later that afternoon knowing that God's hand is working here. I don't know exactly what he has in store for me but I am getting more and more excited every moment.
After we found the property we explored the area a little bit and found that the mall that we wanted to check out was absolutely incredible and less than 10 minutes away from the house we looked at. God is Great! I can't wait to write about my experience tomorrow!

After we found the property we explored the area a little bit and found that the mall that we wanted to check out was absolutely incredible and less than 10 minutes away from the house we looked at. God is Great! I can't wait to write about my experience tomorrow!
